Colonel Red is a genuine true soul artist of our time. With his distinctive sultry voice as his main instrument, Red sings, produces, writes, and plays telling a truthful story with compelling melodies and deep haunting rhythms.

Colonel Red Redz hasn’t stopped performing, travelling, recording and writing since dropping his debut album “Blue Eye Blak” in 2005. His powerful live performances have captivated audiences throughout Europe’s clubs, venues and festivals.  In 2008 we will see the completion of 4 Colonel Red projects, his second album “Sweet Liberation”, the “Crazy Breed” album by Colonel Red and C.O.N.E and the “Feel Glorious” album by Milez Benjiman (Colonel Red, Gert-jan Bijl and Paulo Delgado) and the launch of Colonel Red’s own label “Ruff Language”.

Colonel Red has been influenced by the sounds of Marvin Gaye, Bob Marley, Otis Redding, Deep Purple, Bugz in the Attic, and Stevie Wonder to name a few.  He has played and shared the stage with, Africa Bambatta, Ursula Rucker, and Mark De Clive Lowe and continues to spread his soulful funk and progressive grooves with 12” releases such as “Blue Eye Blak”, “Delgui”, and “Freedom Soundz”.
