Brighton, England-based Goloka consists of British producer Mr. Haywood as well as singer and co-producer Kasia and DJ Ellis, both originally from Poland. Goloka’s oeuvre is grounded in sensual chilled electronica that fuses Spanish, eastern and Latin sounds into a seductive contemporary soundscape.
Goloka released the highly-acclaimed album “Afterglow” via iLabel in 2007, a collection of down-tempo treasures where chillout meets trip hop and classical arpeggios collide with exotic chord progressions. As in all their work, Kasia's ethereal vocals float over ambient layers of sensual instrumentation and appealing basslines. Goloka is revered in the Ibiza afterhours scene where they are known for their sunrise and sunset sessions: Spanish-influenced mixed sets complete with flamenco guitars and glorious pads. Goloka's music has appeared on over 40 compilations worldwide, including “Hotel Costes”, “Served Chilled”. and two releases of the popular “Ibiza Café Mambo”. They are now taking their show on the road with live performances as well as working on a video production of the remixed “Ain’t No game’” from the “Afterglow” album. In addition, Goloka is tacking a new direction with dancefloor-oriented tracks for peak club hours in the Summer 2008 Ibiza scene. http://www.myspace.com/golokamusic
