We get a lot of emails at Below Zero asking a few things from how to hear our show, what events are we doing, are we going to release music, how do you purchase a radio show? We have tried to compile a simple list of FAQ's for you to read here, if for some reason we didn't answer your question please contact us directly through our Contacts page.
How can I purchase one of your radio shows? Well although we would love to sell these, we can't do it because we don't have the rights. Almost all of the Artists and Labels we play are friends and we have to support them. You can purchase the tracks through a variety of resources such as Beatport.com, iTunes, or the Artist directly. We try and put everything into a set list so you can easily search and find what you are looking for to support the music. However, we have done our best to compile one of our radio shows into our first ever compilation, MINUS 1 which you can purchase directly from our own website, iTunes, Beatport.com or Amazon.com.
How do I listen to you on the web? There are several options that can work for you at this time. You can stream us directly from the Energy 92.7FM website, Live365 website or our affiliate in Canada Netmusique.com. Below is an easy set of directions so you can find us without any frustration. Energy 92.7 FM - From their home page choose the Music tab and we are located as Below Zero. From there you will see our page with information and the Play buttons to push to stream. Live365 - You can click through to our station from our own home page or if you are on their home page simply type in 'below zero' in the box that says find stations that play and hit GO. We have two choices, the main Below Zero show that is a 128k stream or the Below Zero 56k stream. If you are looking for our weekly show that is the 128k stream - click on the link and hit the big yellow play button (you need an account). The 56k stream is our new residents' channel that will be up and running soon. Please be patient there are a few ads to run and then the show will add you as it's streaming - also if you can't get in that means we have tapped our audience max so we suggest you try again later or head over to Energy or Netmusique to hear us. Netmusique - This is our affiliate that is our of the country so it works a little different. We air on Tuesdays 10am (PCT) and when you get to their home page you will see at the top a section called (please select a channel). Our channel is 'Flaresound' click there and follow the instructions. If you miss the live show on Tuesdays you can catch the archive by clicking 'Shows' from their main tab and click on our show.
How can we get a Below Zero DJ to play at one of our events? This is easy, we are located in Los Angeles and San Francisco, all you have to do is hit up our Contacts page and put in a request. If you are in Los Angeles though two of our residents play out reguarly every month on Thursday & Friday nights, Mason Rothert & Red Broad can be seen spinning at Glow at the Marriott in Marina Del Rey. You can also catch Mason & Red at the Renaissance Sports Club.
