 Timewarp Music is an independent record label based in Athens, Greece. Started off in early 2004 by Angelos Stoumpos a.k.a Timewarp. The sound orientation of the label travels through time from nu ambient to downtempo and in space from nu jazz to solid warp duby n funky dance grooves. Featuring different musical backgrounds that guide your senses up to the dance floor or into your chilling sofa. A multi platform label constantly seeking for fresh sounds.
The first release of Timewarp Music “Timewarp inc – Dub my funky groove” is a perfect sample of the music style we wish to support. Featured on the Top 40 “Balance record pool” charts and the Top 20 “Best 2005 album” compiled by Forest’s radio show “Musical Starstreems”. In Greece it featured power play and “soundtrack of August” from Best 92.6 radio station. Many tracks have been licensed for various compilations such as the “Top 5” track in “Chillicious –Waveform recs”, “Latin fiesta” in “Nu Hop II – Prominence recs” and 12’’ vinyl in “Ice & Spice recs” France, and “The Obssession Bug” in “Vicious Games – Sony Music Greece”. Our journey continued in May 2006 with “Save your funkin ears”. A colorful compilation with the participation of famous artists, i.e. All Good Funk Alliance, Fort Knox Five, Nickodemus and rising artists from Greece like Medras, So.T, Quasamodo, Basement Freaks, Timewarp inc, Blend and Cayetano. “Dub my funky groove – Remixes & Reworks” is scheduled to be released in fall 2006. In this double cd you will find remixes from Geriba, Ed Royal & Enne, Sheibosan & Shanti Roots, Stefan Obermaier, Rephrase, Blend, Quasamodo, So.T, Nonion Breed, Atiko Minus, Sundayman, Mod X and many more. Following up the debut LPs of Timewarp music’s main artists Quasamodo and So.T as well as the sequel “Save your funkin ears II” compilation. We also license music for T.V. spots, radio spots, web sites and multimedia projects: VW Polo, Honda HRV, Seat Ibiza, Carroten, Alpha Bank, Delta Life Tea, Stolichnaya, Old Holborn (cinema). http://wwww.timewarpmusic.org
