Slackline Radio was created by Chris Lindsey who felt the need for chillout music to be broadcast in Alaska.

After relocating from Austin, Texas, Chris Lindsey found himself living in one of the most chilled places on the planet.  Anchorage, Alaska is known for its glaciers and cold so it seemed quite fitting to spread a new layer of chill across the city.  Five years ago he began the program Slackline Radio on the local college radio station KRUA to share his love for downtempo, chillout music.  His live sets gained popularity and the success over the years transformed the program.  In 2006, the Slackline Radio internet radio station was launched to reach a world wide audience.  In addition, his mix sets have been featured across the web for programs such as "Chill with the Chola" (Florida) and "Radio Zero Gravity" (Milan).

He has provided written reveiws on new releases in the genre and conducted interviews with artists on the Slackline Radio website and has been a regular contributor for websites such as Calmscape (defunct) and Properly Chilled.  There is no limit to how far Lindsey will travel to deliver the chill of Slackline Radio.
