 Natalie Walker grabbed our attention with her track, "Over & Under" from the new album, 'With You' from Pennslyvania's very own Natalie Walker. This is her second album and she is only getting better and better and if you were a Daughter Darling fan (which Below Zero is) then its no mistake you like the former lead singer's solo work.
From her debut work in 2006, 'Urban Angel' Natalie's new album is a mixture of ethereal songs with a warm beating heart. There is still a pop flavor to them but there is also a very sophisticated and cool chill vibe undertone. She has fully embraced the cross-over of electronica and organic and her songwriting is deep and soulful. "A sophomore record is really tough," Walker admits, "I had no idea how difficult it would be. I know I wanted to give myself some room to experiement with a lighter and more upbeat sound, but it was really challenging for me to keep things simple. I wanted to force myself to get out of my comfort zone - and I did."
Natalie enjoys making music that sticks with people, she loves hearing that one of her songs moved someone or they really connected to it with their own lives, for her that is why artists write. "Over & Under" will give you the different layers of chill as Natalie clearly takes us over and under and back again.
