Fan Fiction started out as a collaboration between songwriter Steven Rossan and multi-instrumentalist Lucien LaMotte. The duo recorded some songs with producer Tucker Martine (R.E.M., Laura Veirs, Long Winters, Decemberists, Sufjan Stevens) and shortly afterwards began to build the band. Recruiting members from Seattle's storied music community, Rossan and LaMotte were soon joined by bassist Bo Gililand, drummer Paul Culala, and guitarist William Bernhard.

Most recently Fan Fiction has released an EP titled, 'The Redbirds' which features three original cuts.  A definate rock and roll sound with a relaxed vibe.  The title track 'The Redbirds' offers a chill combo of Johnny Cash meets some Cocteau Twins that is hidden underneath the unique sound that is Fan Fiction.
